FB-Shyamal F1 is a sugar baby type watermelon hybrid on a vigorous plant. Fruit are round and uniform in size at 7-10 kg with a dark greenish black rind and deep red, crispy, juicy flesh at 11-12% brix. Uniformity and a firm rind make it excellent for long transportation, which is why it suits growers shipping to distant mandis.
