How to do the test at home (paper towel method): take 100 seeds from the lot → spread between two moist paper towels / newspaper layers → roll loosely, keep in a polythene bag at warm room temperature (25–30 °C) → keep moist, not wet → count normal sprouts after 7–10 days (14 for slow crops). Repeat with 4 × 100 seeds for an accurate average.
