Germination Test Calculator
How it is worked out
- Place 100 seeds between moist paper towels, roll them up and keep them warm and damp.
- Count the seeds that have sprouted after the days given for the crop (about 7 to 10 for most vegetables).
- Germination % = sprouted seeds ÷ seeds tested × 100.
- Seed rate change = the germination you planned for ÷ the germination you got.
